A true words and pictures project, this cookery book was published by Spring Hill (now part of Constable, an imprint of Little, Brown Books) and written jointly by myself and my lovely mum, the cookery writer Diana Peacock. It gives detailed instructions of how to make a range of sweets, chocolates, baked treats and preserves to give as gifts, from chocolate truffles to boiled sweets, to blackcurrant liqueurs. The publisher was looking for a more illustrated approach to the project and so I created over two hundred illustrations of delicious goodies (most of which were made in mum’s kitchen) and sampled most of them too. Needless to say, I had to join a gym shortly afterwards.
These have all been created using my trusty dip pen and Windsor & Newton ink, then finished in Adobe Photoshop.
